A Wright City man was charged last week with drug charges related to a July traffic stop where methamphetamine was located in a shirt pocket during a traffic stop.
Robert Lee Lewis, of the 400 block of 2nd St., was charged with felony drug possession and misdemeanor lawful use of drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 22.
Lewis was allegedly driving a pickup pulling a trailer that did not have working brake lights and a traffic stop was initiated. The officer patted down Lewis and discovered a bag containing a substance that tested positive for meth, according to the probable cause statement.
