A Wright City man was charged with stealing a controlled substance following an incident Aug. 7.
According to a probable cause statement filed by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy was dispatched in reference to a stolen trailer. According to the victim, Michael Collier, 41, Wright City, had come onto the victim’s property and took a trailer that belonged to the victim. There was also footage of Collier stealing other items from a shed on the property, according to the affidavit. The items included lawn care equipment, a dirtbike and a bag containing Alprazolam. All of the items were returned, however the deputy discovered that some of the Alprazolam tablets were missing, according to the affidavit.
A warrant was issued for Collier’s arrest on Oct. 28, with bond set at $5,000 cash only.
