A Wright City man was charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon following an incident Sept. 13.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Warrenton Police Department, an officer responded to Walmart in reference to a fanny pack that was located in the store. The officer observed a Ruger handgun in the bag and a capsule with an unknown white substance and a container with a brown substance inside of it. Ronald McKee of Wright City then entered the store looking for the bag and he was arrested. McKee admitted the bag was his, according to the affidavit. Lab results identified the items in the bag as fentanyl, alprazolam and a substance containing THC.
A cash only $10,000 bond warrant was issued for McKee’s arrest Nov. 12.
