A Wright City man was charged with possession of a controlled substance after being contacted by officers at 7 East Service Road North in Wright City Oct. 10.
According to a probable cause affidavit submitted by the Wright City Police Department, an officer observed Dennis Edwards of Wright City, who the officer knew had active warrants. The officer arrested Edwards inside the store’s cooler and a pack of cigarettes was located where Edwards was arrested. The pack contained a hydrocodone pill.
