Travis Ellis, 23, of Wright City has been charged in connection to a domestic incident that occurred on Sept. 4 in Wright City. According to the probable cause statement, Ellis kicked down the victims door and was threatening them in their home.
The victim had locked herself in a bathroom and when Ellis reached her, he took her cell phone and held her in the bathroom, causing bruises on the victim’s arms.
When officers arrived, Ellis was standing over the victim who immediately asked officers for help.
Ellis was charged with burglary in the first degree and robbery in the second degree, both felonies, along with fourth degree domestic assault and second degree property damage.
A warrant has been served for his arrest and he cannot post bond until seen by a judge.
