A Wright City man was charged with assault following an incident July 1.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Wright City Police Department, an officer was dispatched to a physical altercation that occurred at 645 West Service Road North. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with a juvenile who had a small laceration to his left eye. Officers then located one of the suspects who identified himself initially with a fake name, before being properly identified as Nashaun Bates of Wright City.
The officer observed footage of the altercation which showed Bates striking the juvenile several times. Bates was also observed colliding with a white Chevrolet Impala, causing damage to the driver’s side taillight.
A no bond warrant for Bates arrest was issued Oct. 31.
