A 52-year-old Wright City man faces felony charges in connection with a stabbing at a Wright City home Friday.According to court documents, Robert T. Ray is charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.According to Warren County Sheriff Kevin Harrison, at approximately 7:25 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 29000 block of Highway J north of Wright City in reference to a stabbing. Deputies were met in the front yard by witnesses who told deputies that a man inside the residence had been stabbed, and that Ray also was inside with the knife.Harrison said deputies entered the residence and spoke with Ray and were able to talk him into giving up the knife without further incident.A 25-year-old black male victim was found inside the home with a knife wound to his abdomen. The victim was transported to a hospital by medical helicopter.Harrison said the victim was the son of the suspect’s girlfriend, and they lived together at the home. Harrison said Ray and the victim got into an argument that resulted in the stabbing.Ray is being held on $100,000 bond.Wright City man charged in stabbing
