Authorities have arrested a man for striking and choking a woman at a residence on Country Cove Lane, just west of Wright City.Hector “Pablo” Garcia, 22, is charged with second-degree domestic assault, a Class D felony, after a violent encounter Feb. 20.The victim told a Warren County Sheriff’s deputy that Garcia forced his way into the home. Garcia allegedly struck the victim and knocked her down, then began to choke her.A sheriff’s deputy responding to the assault reported the beginning of bruising on the victim’s neck and swelling on her face.Garcia is being held at the Warren County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond. He has an arraignment set for March 14 in the Warren County Circuit Court.
