A rural Wright City man has been arrested on multiple felony child sex crime charges, according to online court records.
Michael K. Ochs was taken into custody Thursday, July 23. The charges against him, filed three days earlier, include statutory sodomy of a child less than 12 years old, second-degree child molestation of a victim younger than 12 years old, and two counts of second-degree statutory rape.
The crimes allegedly occurred between May 2021 and October 2023 at Ochs’ property on West Lane in rural Wright City and involved at least two victims. Court documents indicate one was a 10-year-old boy at the time of one incident and another was a 14-year-old girl.
The investigation into the allegations against Ochs began in October 2023, according to a probable cause statement.
Ochs, born in 1980, is being held without bond at the Warren County Jail. As of early Friday afternoon, a defense attorney listed for Ochs in online court records had not responded to a request for comment on the charges.
