Andy Klein has resigned his position on the Wright City Fire Protection District Board of Directors, according to a statement released by the fire district.Klein is leaving the position “to place more emphasis on family matters,” according to the statement. The board is now seeking a replacement to fulfill a one-year term.Those interested must apply inperson at the fire district headquarters, 396 W. North Second St. The office is open Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. Applications will be accepted until 3 p.m. June 8.Applicants must be U.S. citizens registered to vote in the fire district for at least one year. They must be at least 24 years old and cannot be employed by any fire or ambulance district.
