Wright City couple faces charges

Two Wright City residents are facing drug and child endangerment charges following a police raid at their home Tuesday, Dec. 6.Police identified the suspects as Amy M. Schroeder, 36, and Donald White, 46.Wright city police executed a search warrant at Schroeder’s home in the 12000 block of White Road in Wright City. She shares the home with White, police said.When police arrived to serve the warrant they found two minor children alone in the home. Schroeder and White were in a building next to the house, according to police.The police report said drug evidence, including methamphetamine, syringes and drug paraphernalia, were found in the home, all within easy reach of the children. The younger child, born in 2015, belongs to Schroeder and White. The older child, born in 2006, is Schroeder’s, the report said.Schroeder is charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, both felonies, and two misdemeanors — possession of up to 35 grams marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.White is charged with three felonies — distributing, delivering, manufacturing or producing a controlled substance; possession of a controlled substance; and endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree.He also is charged with misdemeanor possession of up to 35 grams marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.Both are in custody with bonds set at $35,000 each. Their initial arraignments were scheduled for Dec. 14.White also has a pending felony drug possession charge stemming from an arrest Feb. 15, 2016, according to court documents. He also was charged with failing to drive on the right half of the road, a misdemeanor, in that case.
