Tiger Docks and Reliable Trucking Services in Wright City are accepting donations and collecting supplies to ship to North Carolina this week. The area was devastated by the effects of Hurricane Helene and many remain without necessary supplies, power and even shelter.
"Many people in North Carolina need our support as they recover from the recent hurricane and prepare for the winter. We're sending a tractor-trailer full of essential supplies to help families stay warm, fed and hydrated through the cold months ahead," said the two companies in a statement.
The list of supplies requested includes bottled water, protein shakes and bars, new warm clothing such as hats, gloves and blankets, along with personal hygiene projects like toothbrushes soap and feminine products, baby supplies like diapers, baby formula and baby wipes, first aid supplies like bandages and antiseptic wipes, flashlights, batteries, heavy duty trash bags, cleaning supplies, coolers, toilet paper, paper towels, small barbecue grills and charcoal, matches and firestarters and bleach.
These items can be dropped off or shipped directly to Tiger Docks at 35 Cooperative Way in Wright City until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday Oct. 9.
The group has also established a venmo to receive financial contributions which can be accessed via the QR code above. Those interested in making donations may also reach out to the Tiger Docks office at 636-745-7003.
