The Wright City Board of Aldermen unanimously approved a preliminary plat plan for a new subdivision to be called Lillie Manor during their meeting Nov. 20.
The developer Mitch Turpin presented the plan, which will include eight lots in the subdivision with 1,400 to 1,500 square foot homes with basements.
Alderman Ramiz Hakim asked how Turpin would build the homes to fit into the surrounding neighborhood. Turpin said the homes would be built with stone fronts and vinyl siding.
The subdivision will include a variance for the length of the block, which normally requires a 500 foot block length, the variance will allow for a block length of approximately 400 feet.
Turpin said work on the project would begin as soon as the board approved the preliminary site plan.
The preliminary plat was approved 4-0.
The board also unanimously approved a resolution authorizing the mayor to enter into a contract with Tournament Sports Management, LLC for assistance with Wright City’s recreational sports leagues.
