The Wright City Board of Aldermen approved a request for proposals from CBB Transportation to perform a comprehensive street plan for the city during their meeting June 25.
According to Alderman Karey Owens, the company was the same one that conducted the traffic study for the Magruder asphalt plant on Roelker Road. Owens said the plan will be a citywide plan to identify the city’s best main roads and improve the overall infrastructure. She said as the proposal was submitted as an RFQ there is no cost estimate yet and that CBB will have to give the city a quote on the cost of preparing the plan before moving forward.
The board also conducted a public hearing on the annexation of a strip of land known as Indian Head Lodge Road and will be keeping the matter open for more public discussion at the board’s July 9 meeting next week.
The only other matter of importance discussed was the batting cages at Ruge Park. Owens said that public works and the parks department will be working together on their schedules to arrange a time to install the batting cages.
