Wright City Ward 2 Alderman Jamey Abercrombie was arrested Saturday evening in connection with an alleged domestic altercation at his home, according to Police Chief Henry Matthews. Abercrombie was booked at the Warren County Jail and released pending a decision on possible charges, according to jail personnel. Abercrombie lives on Horseshoe Court. Matthews confirmed the arrest but declined to release any details about the incident until charges are filed. Kate Busch, Warren County assistant prosecuting attorney, told The Record her office has received a police report involving the incident and the case is being reviewed. Mayor David Heiliger said city officials are aware of the situation and are trying to gather more information. According to court records, Abercrombie's wife, Teal, filed for divorce on April 23. Abercrombie is currently in the second year of his first term in office. He was elected in April 2009 after he defeated James Toothman and Jason Walker. He served as board president in his first year. Prior to being elected as an alderman, Abercrombie served on the city's planning and zoning board for five years.
