Work was completed Friday on converting five county gravel roads into asphalt, Warren County commissioners announced Monday.The $978,000 project was awarded to Chester Bross Construction of Hannibal.The conversion was funded through a county sales tax. The paving took two weeks to complete, said Gary Ruether, county road supervisor.North Stracks Church Road, Ranch Road, Westwoods Road, Loop Road and Joerling Road are all now asphalt paved. Sunnyside Road received an asphalt overlay as part of the project. That was paid for from the county’s general revenue fund for roads and bridges.Three-Way Stop sign Approved by CommissionThe Warren County Commission Monday approved the installation of a three-way stop sign at North Stringtown Road and Cotton Road in Wright City. The stop sign was requested by the Wright City School District to enhance the safety of children riding the school bus in that area.
