Montgomery County Women’s Ag Awareness meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 27 at Montgomery County R-2 High School, 394 N. Highway 19 in Montgomery City.
The theme is “AgrAbility is all About Hope.” The speaker is Carey Portell.
Carey and two of her children were involved in a drunk-driving crash that left her partially disabled. With help from the University of Missouri Extension she figured out a way to continue cattle farming.
The cost is $10 and includes a meal. The event offers vendors and a plant swap.
