A Lincoln County woman accused of driving drunk with a 7-month-old child in the back seat has been summoned to appear in Warren County Circuit Court. The misdemeanor charge against Virginia R. Hill, 55, of Truxton, stems from a November 2017 incident in Pendleton.According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, two Pendleton residents watched as a white SUV driven by Hill drove through the yard of a neighboring bar, made a U-turn, then drove through the yards toward the residents’ home. The residents stopped Hill and spoke to her, later reporting that she seemed surprised to learn she was not driving on the road. After agreeing to drive the SUV back to the road, Hill reportedly continued to drive farther into the backyard, away from the road. The residents stopped Hill again, and said she was still confused that she was not on the road. The residents convinced Hill to stop driving and allow them to drive the vehicle back to the road. While speaking with Hill, the witnesses saw an infant child in the backseat of the vehicle.A sheriff’s deputy who came to speak to Hill reported smelling alcohol on her breath and clothes. Her speech was heavily slurred and she admitted to drinking earlier that night, authorities said. The result of a breath test indicated Hill’s blood alcohol concentration was 0.261 percent, more than three times the legal limit.Crime
