The driver of a vehicle in last week’s chain-reaction crash in Warren County has died.According to an official with the Warrenton Fire Protection District, Deborah A. Hughes, 58, Warrenton, died as a result of injuries she sustained in the accident.The crash occurred Tuesday, July 23, around 9:25 p.m. on Township Line Road two miles west of Highway 47.According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Aaron Wryick, 25, Warrenton, was stopped in the roadway due to an accident ahead.Hughes’ car was stopped behind Wryick’s car.According to the report, a third car, driven by Cameron Kopecky, 17, Warrenton, struck Hughes’ car, which then struck the first car, which struck Jennifer Graves, 32, Warrenton, a passenger in the Wryick car who had gotten out of the vehicle to check on the accident ahead.Hughes was taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with serious injuries.She died Monday, July 29.Graves was seriously injured and taken by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis. Her condition was unknown as of press time.Three others involved in the crash, Haley Holt, 16, and Gage Kopecky, 15, both of Warrenton, who were in the third car, and Wryick, sustained moderate injuries, according to the patrol. They were taken by ambulance to area hospitals.All drivers and passengers were wearing seat belts.
