A Warrenton woman was charged with third degree domestic assault, a felony, following an incident that occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 7.
Warrenton Police Officers responded to a domestic disturbance where they found Racheal Kelly, 46, of Warrenton on the porch of the residence. According to the probable cause statement, Kelly was visibly distressed waving her arms around and stated “she was going to jail.”
The victim told officers he was taking his kids to Dairy Queen when Kelly began hitting the driver’s side window of his vehicle.
When he exited the vehicle he said Kelly struck him multiple times in the face and grabbed the back of his neck. Officers reported the victim had red marks on his face consistent with where he said Kelly struck him.
Kelly has two prior convictions for domestic assault. A warrant was served for her arrest and she is currently being held without bond.
