Woman charged for threatening calls

A St. Louis woman is facing two felony charges in Warren County after two people reported they had received threatening messages, including one death threat.

Mari L. Lomax, 45, is charged with two counts of first-degree harassment, a class E felony, as well as one misdemeanor assault charge.

In a court filing, The Warren County Sheriff’s Department said Lomax is suspected of making a series of harassing phone calls and messages to two women in the Pendleton area. The incidents were reported in August, the sheriff’s department said.

One victim who contacted deputies told them that Lomax had lived with her and others at a home in the area, but that Lomax had been kicked out for allegedly harassing and threatening the other residents. Shortly after being made to leave, Lomax began sending harassing messages, the woman told police.

In one phone call, the victim reported that Lomax told her “I’m going to kill you.”

Another woman told deputies that Lomax had left three vaguely threatening voice mails on her phone.

The second woman told deputies that before getting kicked out, Lomax had been angry about something and purposely threw her shoulder into the woman while walking past her.
