Voters in every area of Warren County will have one or more tax proposals to consider in local elections April 2, as well as voting for the leadership of local city and emergency districts.Here are the local ballot items, separated by political district.Innsbrook• Board of Trustees — The village of Innsbrook Board of Trustees has three seats up for election and five candidates for the offices. They are Jeff Thomsen, Jerry Rust, Trish Dunn, Cynthia Bowers and Donna West.Marthasville• Mayor — Two candidates are competing for the office of mayor in the city of Marthasville. The candidates are David Lange and David Edgington.• East Ward Alderman — One seat representing Marthasville’s East Ward on the board of alderman has two candidates seeking election. They are Keith Theissen and Dan Grafrath.• Southwest Ward Alderman — A seat on the city’s board of aldermen, representing Marthasville’s Southwest Ward, has two candidates competing for office. They are Keith Hagedorn and Leo Meyer.Marthasville Fire Protection District• Prop F — A $1.75 million bond issue would fund construction of a new Fire Station 1 in Marthasville and upgrades for fire rescue equipment. The bond issue would include a property tax levy increase of 28 cents per $100 assessed valuation.Public Water Supply District 2, Subdistrict 5• Board of Directors — One seat is open for Subdistrict 5 of Public Water Supply District 2, which provides public water and sewer service in parts of eastern and southern Warren County. The two candidates for the board seat are Kay Schnurr and Gary Griffin.Truesdale• Mayor — Incumbent Mayor Chris Watson is the sole candidate for election to another term.• Board of Aldermen — Three people are competing for two seats on the Truesdale Board of Aldermen. The candidates are Stanley Brookshier, Robert Green and Jerry Cannon.Washington School District• Prop S — A $26 million bond issue with no tax increase would fund the construction of a new school in the South Point area and make safety improvements to facilities throughout the district.• Board of Education — Two people are running for two seats on the school board. They are Jason Oesterly and Matthew Wilson.Warren County R-III School District• Prop J — St. Charles Community College has petitioned for the residents of Warren County R-III School District to be annexed into the college’s taxing district. That would include a property tax increase of 17.96 cents per $100 of assessed property valuation.• Board of Education — Three candidates are competing for two seats on the Warren County R-III School Board. They are Virginia “Ginger” Schenck, Allan Dreyer and Joe Lanigan.Warrenton• Mayor — Current Mayor Eric Schleuter is unopposed for re-election.• Board of Aldermen — A single candidate in each of the city’s three wards is running unopposed. They are Cheryl Dyer, Ward 1; Gary Auch, Ward 2; and Gary Miller, Ward 3.Warrenton Fire Protection District• Board of Directors — Three people are running for two open seats on the fire district’s board of directors. The candidates are James Sharp, Donald Owenby and Rob Vogelgesang.Wright City• Board of Aldermen — Incumbents representing Wright City’s two wards on the board of aldermen are running unopposed for re-election. They are Kerry Lambright, Ward 1, and Nathan Rohr, Ward 2.Wright City Fire Protection District• Prop S — A proposed property tax increase of 17 cents per $100 of assessed property valuation would maintain current staffing levels on fire crews and help fund building maintenance and training for staff.Wright City R-II School District• Prop J — St. Charles Community College has petitioned for the residents of the Wright City School District to be annexed into the college’s taxing district. The property tax increase would be 17.96 cents per $100 of assessed property valuation.• Board of Education — Three candidates are competing for two seats on the Wright City School Board.
