Those looking for activities to do this weekend and who want to help support local and regional charities will have a wealth of opportunities on Friday and Saturday.Country Lake Golf Club, 21309 Country Lake Drive in Warrenton, will host its first ever Great Cardboard Boat Race on Friday. Boat check-in is at 3 p.m. and the races start at 5 p.m. There is a $100 per participating boat, but admission is free to spectators.Proceeds from the event will benefit Agape, a local nonprofit that aids low-income families.There are two races. The first is a time trial. Everyone attempts to go 50 yards as fast as they can. The eight fastest times race again for the championship. Cash prizes will go to the top three competitors.For animal lovers, a local group working to raise funds to build a Warren County animal shelter is hosting the second annual Woofstock at Diekroeger Park in Wright City Saturday.The event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. will feature visiting dogs from various adoption centers, as well as open contests for pet/owner look-alike, best pet trick, and grooviest pet costume, all with great prizes. Admission is free and dogs are welcome.Later that day is the annual Warren County Relay For Life. The gathering to raise money for the American Cancer Society is 4-11 p.m. Saturday at Black Hawk Middle School, 302 Kuhl Ave. in Warrenton.

Donations help fund groundbreaking cancer research and patient-care programs. This year’s Hero of Hope speaker is Stacey Saak, a cancer patient and survivor.

Warrenton Golf Course will host the sixth annual Alzheimer's "A Drive to Remember" golf tournament starting at noon Saturday. The event features a four-person scramble.
