Wright City 40, Van-Far 6The Wright City football team earned its first victory of the season with a 40-6 triumph over Van-Far on Friday.Steven Soltysiak had two touchdowns and was one of five Wildcats to reach the end zone.Wright City mounted a 6-0 lead after quarterback Kyle Lang connected with Tyler Brittain on a 32-yard touchdown strike.The Wildcats led 27-0 by halftime, overcoming two fumbles in the second quarter as Van-Far had three turnovers.Tim Burks closed out Wright City's scoring on a 45-yard run.Van-Far added its only touchdown with 4:00 remaining on a short run.The Wildcats improved to 1-3 and will travel to Bowling Green next week.Warrenton 21, St. Charles 7The Warriors claimed their first win of the season with touchdown runs by Zach Logan, Drake Wagner and Corey Eckenfels.
