Wright City running back DeReonzo Blanks rushed for more than 100 yards for the fourth consecutive game in Friday's 21-0 win over Duchesne in the district opener. The senior back also rushed for a touchdown in the win. The Wildcats (7-3) captured its first win in the playoffs since 2010. The defense got its first shuout of the season. Devon Holmes had an interception for Wright City. The Wildcats defense has allowed just six points in the last two games and hasn't allowed a touchown in seven straight quarters. Wright City advances in district play to face either Macon or Christian next Friday. Warrenton 17, Marshall 10The Warriors also are advancing past the first round of districts.A defensive struggle that saw both teams go without a touchdown for the first 34 minutes finally broke open in favor of Warrenton in the fourth quarter Friday. The Warriors scored two late touchdowns to overcome a late deficit, outlasting visiting Marshall 17-10.Warrenton improved to 6-4 and will play at Mexico next Friday. A two-yard run by junior Jacob Null put the Warriors in control with 4:17 remaining, and the defense made the necessary stops on Marshall's enusing desperation drive. The game was deadlocked at 3-3 until 1:37 remained in the third quarter when the Owls punched in a one-yard run. The Warriors responded on their next drive, as senior quarterback Braydan Chmiel scrambled in from 10 yards out to tie the game at 10-10. Senior Dillen Mayfield was responsible for the Warriors' first point, connecting on a 16-yard field goal.
