Another weekend, another winter weather advisory. The National Weather Service has a weather advisory in effect from midnight Friday until 6 p.m. Saturday.Snow beginning in the early hours of Saturday morning is expected to accumulate 2-4 inches throughout the region. Winds gusting at up to 35 mph could cause blowing and drifting snow."Roads may rapidly become slippery once the snow begins, so motorists should plan for a slower than normal trip. Be especially alert when approaching bridges, overpasses, and curves," the National Weather Service announced.Forecasting service Accuweather predicts rain beginning after dark Friday, with temperatures in the 30s dropping steadily overnight. The rain is forecasted to turn into snow once the temperature drops below freezing sometime after 5 a.m. Saturday.Significant cold will settle in over the weekend, with temperatures in the teens.Winter weather advisory
