A Washington man who is on probation in a 2011 Franklin County burglary is facing new charges that he stole items from a former girlfriend and sold them at a pawnshop.Warren County authorities issued a felony warrant Oct. 24 charging Leroy M. Morice Jr., 42, with one count of stealing property valued at more than $500.Morice is accused in the warrant with stealing jewelry and other items belonging to Melissa Sutton, Marthasville, and selling them at a pawnshop in Washington on two dates in October.Morice, when questioned by a Warren County deputy, admitted taking some of the items, according to a probable cause statement filed in court.Morice was given two five-year sentences after pleading guilty in March 2012 to second-degree burglary and stealing charges in Franklin County. The judge in the case suspended execution of the prison sentences and placed Morice on five years’ probation, according to online court documents.Morice’s bond was set at $10,000 in the Warren County case.Washington Man Charged in Marthasville Burglary
