The Warrenton Lady Warriors started the season with two wins at this weekend’s Warrenton Tournament.
The Warrenton Lady Warriors squared off against three teams during the team’s season opening tournament.
The Lady Warriors (2-1) won their season opener Friday night over the St. Louis Patriots. They won the game 1-0. Senior Isabella Roberts scored a goal in the first half, the lone goal in the game. Freshman Morgan Marschel was credited with an assist.
The Lady Warriors dropped their first game Saturday. They lost to Washington High School 6-0.
The Lady Warriors responded Saturday night with a 8-0 win over Fulton High School. The Lady Warriors scored four goals in both the first half and the second half. Marschel led the Lady Warrior offensive attack with four goals. Sophomore Camryn Petersmeyer scored three goals for Warrenton. Junior Coryn Higby scored one goal. Petersmeyer and Morris each had two assists.
Warrenton finished the tournament tied for second place. St. Clair High School also went 2-1 in the tournament. Washington won all three of their games and won the tournament.
Warrenton is scheduled to host Mexico High School Thursday and St. Charles West Tuesday.
