The Warrenton Warriors kicked off regular season play with a win in the season opener before dropping a pair of subsequent games.
The Warriors (1-2) defeated O’Fallon Christian 11-4 in the season opener. Kannon Hibbs went 2-3 with a solo home run and three runs scored. Troy Anderson went 3-4 with a run scored and two RBIs.
Warrenton lost games to Fort Zumwalt East 14-0 and St. Dominic 6-5. The loss to St. Dominic came in nine innings. Anderson went 2-4 with a double and walk in Monday's game against St. Dominic. He scored one run. Dylan Beck, Caleb Clark, Austin Haas and Hibbs each had one hit. Hass, Ben Peth and Sam Wortham each had one RBI. Peth pitched 5.1 innings and allowed two earned runs. He struck out five batters. Anderson gave up one unearned run in one inning. Bailey Meyer pitched 2.2 innings and gave up two earned runs. St. Dominic scored two unearned runs in the game.
The Warriors are scheduled to host Hannibal and Wright City Saturday.
