The Warrenton Lady Warriors split a pair of matches last week.
Warrenton (2-3) beat North Point last week in five sets to notch their second home win of the season. The Lady Warriors lost to Sullivan the next day.
Warrenton got off to a fast start against North Point. They won the first two sets 25-17 and 25-14. After dropping the third and fourth sets 25-23 and 25-14, the Lady Warriors won the decisive fifth set 15-10. The win is Warrenton’s second five-set win to open the season. They are 6-0 in five set matches over the past two seasons.
Rayne Van Reed led Warrenton with 18 kills. Sophomore Chandler Blondin recorded nine kills and 15 service points in her first career start. Zoe Klaus contributed with eight kills and four blocks. Nicole Benne added six blocks. Warrenton had a school record 17 blocks in the win over North Point.
Warrenton lost to Sullivan in four sets. They lost the first two sets by identical 25-21 scores. The Lady Warriors won the third set 25-23. They lost the fourth set 25-22.
Warrenton will host St. Charles West at 5:15 p.m. Thursday.
