Three Warrenton cross country athletes registered top-20 finishes at the Fleet Feet meet last week.
Phillip Kackley and Wyatt Claiborne both finished in the top-20 in the Fleet Feet meet. Madelyn Marschel also registered a top-20 finish in the competition, which was held at Parkway Central High School in Chesterfield.
Kackley recorded the top finish for Warrenton for the second consecutive meet. Kackley finished 13th place in the two-mile run. He finished the race in 11:27.70. Wyatt Claiborne finished close behind Kackley. Claiborne placed 17th. He finished the race in 11:32.90.
Coalton Hill, Charles Bowles and Phoenix McCleary all recorded top-50 finishes. Hill and Bowles finished the race in 47th and 48th places. McCleary finished in 50th place.
As a team, the Warrenton boys cross country team finished fifth place out of nine schools who competed as a team.
Marschel placed 16th among all competing girls runners in the two-mile run. She finished the run in 14:23.20. Briana Grooms placed 36th for the Lady Warriors. She finished the race in 15:42.20.
Warrenton will compete at the Forest Park Invite Saturday.
