Warrenton and Wright City each had one medalist during the MSHSAA Track and Field Championships held at Lincoln University in Jefferson on Friday and Saturday.The Warriors' lone representative this year, senior Jordon Washington, made it two years in a row of all-state honors. He finished eighth in the 100-meter race with a time of 11.6 seconds.Wright City senior Ty Davis claimed all-state honors during his first season on the team, placing sixth in the high jump by clearing 5 feet, 11 inches.Also competing for the Wildcats were the 1,600 boys relay team, which finished in 13th place with a time of 8:41.Junior Kyle Christopher took part in the discus throw on Friday, placing 15th with a distance of 114 feet, 8 inches.Senior Kody Morgan made his debut at state by running a 43.4-second time in the 300-meter hurdles but was unable to advance to the finals.Finally, the only girl competitor for Wright City was junior Jynna Fritz, who placed 14th with a personal-best time of 5:48.WARRENTON, WRIGHT CITY MEDAL ONE A PIECEDerrick Forsythe photos.
