Warrenton, Wright City hosting district softball tournaments this week

Warrenton and Wright City will be the site of two separate district softball tournaments this week.

The host Warriors have the top seed in the Class 3, District 7 Tournament and have received a first-round bye. They will play the winner of Winfield and Liberty on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

The championship game will be played Friday at 4:15 p.m.

Wright City, the fourth seed, will open the postseason Wednesday as it faces No. 5 seed Trinity at 4:30 p.m.

The winner will face top seed Bowling Green on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. The championship game is Friday at 4:30 p.m.

Class 3, District 7 Tournament

Oct. 7-9 in Warrenton

Wednesday, Oct. 7

Game 1 — No. 4 Winfield vs. No. 5 Liberty, 2:30 p.m.

Game 2 — No. 3 Borgia vs. No. 6 Christian, 4 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 8

Game 3 — No. 1 seed Warrenton vs. Winfield/Liberty winner, 2:30 p.m.

Game 4 — No. 2 seed St. Dominic vs. Borgia/Christian winner, 4 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 9

Game 5 — Championship, 4:15 p.m.

 

Class 2, District Tournament

Oct. 7-9 in Wright City

Wednesday, Oct. 7

Game 1 — No. 4 seed Wright City vs. No. 5 Trinity, 4:30 p.m.

Game 2 — No. 3 Louisiana vs. No. 6 Elsberry, 6 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 8

Game 3 — No. 1 Bowling Green vs. Wright City/Trinity winner, 4:30 p.m.

Game 4 — No. 2 Lutheran vs. Louisiana/Elsberry winner, 6 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 9

Game 5 — Championship, 4:30 p.m.
