Warrenton and Wright City fell in district tournament games Monday to conclude their seasons.
Warrenton (18-10-1) fell 3-2 in the Class 4, District 5 championship game to defending state runner-up Helias Catholic.
Helias scored one run in the second inning and two runs in the third inning to take a 3-0 lead into the final inning. Warrenton scored a pair of runs in the seventh inning to put the potential tying and go-ahead runs on base. Makayla Witthaus scored Warrenton's first run of the game after an infield groundout. Rose Renshaw's two-out single scored Maddisyn Hoelscher to bring Warrenton within one run. Kiera Daniel struck out on a full count to end Warrenton's comeback attempt.
Warrenton beat Marshall and Jefferson City to advance to the district finals.
Wright City (12-15) lost 24-10 to Palmyra in the Class 3, District 3 semifinals. The Lady Wildcats defeated STEAM Academy 15-0 in three innings last week to advance to the district semifinals.
