The Warrenton Warriors placed fifth out of 10 teams in their division of the Warrenton Tournament.
Competing in the red division of the tournament, Warrenton finished the tournament with a 344, beating out three other schools by four strokes or less. Wright City placed ninth in the red division with a final team score of 406. The tournament was held at Country Lakes Golf Club.
Warrenton’s Troy Anderson led all area golfers in the competition. Anderson finished tied for 11th with an 18-hole score of 80. Owen Thompson finished five strokes behind Anderson and finished tied for 20th with an 85 score. Maison Rader shot an 88 and finished tied for 25th in the competition. Ethan Leavitt had the final counting score for the Warriors. He shot a 91 and tied for 33rd. Jackson Tobias also competed for the Warriors. He shot a 108.
Wright City’s Kye Schnarre was the lone Wildcat golfer to finish under 100 strokes to lead the Wildcats to a ninth place finish. He shot a 91 and tied for 33rd place in the division. Rico Uribe and Aiden O’Donnell finished one stroke apart. Uribe shot a 102 and placed 40th in the competition. O’Donnell shot a 103. Dustyn Bailey recorded the final counting score for Wright City. He shot a 110. Will Bohannan also competed for the Wildcats. He shot a 117.
The Warrenton boys golfers are slated to compete at Montgomery County at 4 p.m. Thursday. The Wright City golfers are scheduled to compete at Elsberry at 4 p.m. Friday.
