Michele Higby, 21, of Warrenton, was injured in a five car accident that took place on westbound Interstate 70 in St. Charles County on the afternoon of Sept. 13.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the front of vehicle four struck the rear of vehicle three, causing them to crash into vehicle two, who then crashed into vehicle one, driven by Higby.
Vehicle four also traveled across two lanes of traffic and struck vehicle five, according to the report.
Higby received minor injuries in the accident and was transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital West by the St. Charles Ambulance District.
Vehicle four, driven by James Grayson, 39, of Columbia, was totaled in the accident, all other vehicles were driven from the scene.
