A Warrenton woman was hospitalized with minor injuries following a crash on I-70 west of I-270 about 7:15 p.m. on Oct. 18.
44-year-old Keisha A. Johnson, of Warrenton, was driving without insurance, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report.
The report says Johnson was traveling too fast for conditions in her 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo when her car struck the back of a car driven by a St. Louis man.
The accident happened in the westbound lanes.
During the collision, Johnson's front right wheel detached and struck a third vehicle driven by a Granite City, Ill., woman.
Johnson's vehicle then traveled off the left side of the road and struck the concrete median wall. She was taken by Pattonville Fire Protection District to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.
Her vehicle suffered extensive damage and was towed from the scene. The other two vehicles suffered minor to moderate damage and were driven from the scene.
No additional information was immediately available regarding Johnson's condition.
