A 17-year-old Warrenton woman who allegedly stole a vehicle and returned it the following day was arrested Sunday evening.The suspect, Desiree A. Hoffman, was charged with first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle. She is being held on a $10,000 bond.According to the probable cause statement, Hoffmann allegedly stole the keys and drove away in a minivan parked in the 27000 block of Reel Road on July 15. She later returned the van the following morning, authorities reported.When interviewed July 19, Hoffman told a Warren County deputy she realized stealing the van was “stupid.” She also was still in possession of the keys to the van at the time of the interview, according to the probable cause statement.Desiree Hoffman
