Warrenton Woman Faces Forgery Charge

A Warren County woman who allegedly stole a check from another woman is facing a felony charge St. Charles County Circuit Court. Leigh Ann Erickson, 24, Warrenton, is charged with one count of forgery, according to court records. Erickson's bond was set at $20,000. According to a probable cause statement from the Wentzville Police Department, Erickson is accused of writing a check May 20 at a Wal-Mart store at 1971 Wentzville Parkway in the amount of $114.11 on the an account held by another individual identified as Bobbi Krause. Krause told police that she did not complete the transaction and that when she looked in her checkbook, check 1201 and its carbon copy were both missing. Erickson was arrested June 3 in Warrenton on suspicion of stealing and forgery, according to the probable cause statement. This past April, Erickson was granted suspended imposition of sentences (SIS) by a St. Charles County judge in two other felony forgery cases dating back to August 2012.
