A Warrenton woman was charged with resisting/interfering with arrest for an incident Feb. 22.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department April 21, a deputy responded to a verbal disturbance involving Lacey Lewis, who had an outstanding felony warrant for a probation violation.
Upon attempting to contact Lewis, she locked herself in a bedroom with her child in an attempt to lead law enforcement to believe she wasn’t present, according to the affidavit. Lewis was instructed to exit the room and she refused. Upon contact with officers, Lewis tensed up to prevent law enforcement from placing her hands behind her back.
A $5,000 cash-only bond was issued for Lewis’ arrest April 21.
