A Warrenton woman was charged with domestic assault and a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child following an incident March 9.
According to a probable cause statement filed by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a Warren County residence. When deputies arrived they observed the victim had multiple bruises and a scratch on his neck. His face was also swollen and red. The victim said that his girlfriend Abigail Deters of Warrenton struck him in the face multiple times and choked him. During investigation it was determined that Deters was holding the couple’s one-year-old son during the altercation. Deters admitted to striking the victim and holding her child during the incident.
Deters is being held in the Warren County jail on no bond.
