Mia Chitwood, 23, of Warrenton, was charged with third-degree domestic assault stemming from an incident on April 5.
According to the probable cause statement filed by Warrenton Police Officer Riley MacInnis, Chitwood was involved with a verbal argument outside a residence in Warrenton before it escalated to a physical confrontation.
According to a witness, the victim arrived at the residence, got out of his car and the two began yelling at each other. The suspect said Chitwood then shoved him into his vehicle. The victim said he attempted to deescalate the situation before Chitwood struck him with a closed fist.
The victim then restrained Chitwood and took her to the ground in an attempt to calm her down where she bit him on the shoulder, leaving bite marks and drawing blood, according to the probable cause statement.
MacInnis reported Chitwood is also on parole for third-degree assault.
A warrant was served for Chitwood’s arrest and she is to be held without bond.
