Ashley Grant-Brown, 40, of Warrenton, was arrested on Sept. 15 in connection to a reported burglary and violation of her protection order on the evening of Sept. 14.

According to the probable cause statement, Warrenton police officers responded to a report of a violation of a protection order after a victim stated Grant-Brown attempted to enter the residence through a locked door before entering through the open garage door to retrieve items within the residence.

Grant-Brown is the respondent of a temporary protection order through Warren County with victims one and two and is required to stay away from their residence.

Grant-Brown admitted to officers that victim one, the children, had advised her that she was not allowed to be at the residence although she claimed she had permission from victim two. Victim two had told her through text messages not to approach the children or the residence, according to the probable cause statement.

A warrant was served for Grant-Brown's arrest and she is currently being held in custody without bond.

She was charged with burglary in the first degree, a felony, and the violation of a protection order for an adult, a misdemeanor.
