A Warrenton woman is facing criminal charges for allegedly lying to get over $21,000 in SNAP benefits over a two-year period.
Angela Christine Beer-Free, of the 800 block of Pueblo Ct., was charged Sept. 8 with two felony charges for stealing and unlawfully receiving public assistance benefits.
Beer-Free received SNAP benefits totaling $21,749 between January 2002 and July 2024, according to a probable cause statement. An investigator with the Missouri Department of Social Services said Beer-Free intentionally misrepresented her bank account balance on applications she submitted for public assistance benefits.
A warrant was issued for Beer-Free on Sept. 8. A $5,000 cash-only bond has been set.
