The Warrenton football team kicked off week two of the 2025 season against Washington High School and won 26-7.
The Blue Jays put up seven points on their first offensive drive of the night on a 15-yard run.
On Warrenton’s third offensive drive, Christian Blondin threw a 37-yard touchdown pass to Deadrick Forrest right before halftime.
The Warriors and Blue Jays headed into halftime tied 7-7.
The Warriors came out strong at the start of the third quarter. Blondin threw a 27-yard pass to Forrest, and Javon Jones finished the drive with a 47-yard rushing touchdown. For the first time in the game, Warrenton took the lead 14-7.
The defense stepped up at the start of the fourth, as they forced Washington to turn the football over on downs on the 13-yard line.
From there, Warrenton sealed the game off with a one-yard touchdown from Blondin and a 14-yard touchdown from Jones.
Warrenton improves to 2-0, while Washington drops to 0-2 on the season. The Warriors will play next Friday at Liberty, which is also 2-0 on the season. The Eagles knocked off Timberland 44-14 Friday night.
