A Warrenton teen was seriously injured and hospitalized after a car crash at 9:03 a.m. Feb. 17 at Highway W and Pear Tree Lane, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
According to the accident report, Shelby R. Sommer, 18 of Warrenton, was driving her 2013 Hyundai Sonata northbound on Highway W when she was unable to maintain her lane and traveled into the southbound lanes, striking a 2014 Ford F350 driven by Leonard F. Luechtefeld, 42 of Warrenton.
Sommer suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken by Warren County Ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis, according to the report. She was wearing her safety device. There was no additional information available about her injuries.
Luechtefeld was not injured.
Both vehicles were listed as totaled and towed from the scene.
