A Warren County teenager was one of three people who suffered serious injuries in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday, June 5, on Highway 94 in St. Charles County, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol. Madison T. Soots, 17, Warrenton, was transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis, Creve Coeur, by Gateway helicopter following the 6:54 p.m. crash, the highway patrol reported. Soots was a passenger in a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan being driven by James. R. Warrick, 16, St. Charles. According to the highway patrol, Warrick was traveling west on Highway 94 when he lost control of the vehicle. The Dodge crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound 2004 Mazda 6 being driven by Haiyang Wei, 33, St. Peters. After the Warrick and Wei vehicles collided, an eastbound 2013 Chevrolet Cruze driven by June Westfall, 75, St. Charles, struck the right rear portion of the Mazda before traveling off the roadway. Warrick also was flown by Gateway helicopter to Mercy Hosptial St. Louis. Wei was taken to the same hospital by St. Charles County ambulance. Westfall sustained no apparent injuries, according to the highway patrol's incident report. Soots, Warrick and Wei all were wearing seat belts in the crash which occurred east of Highway 40/Interstate 64, the highway patrol reported.
