The Warrenton boys soccer team’s two-game winning streak came to an end Tuesday night.The Warriors couldn’t muster much offensively and were shutout by Liberty 2-0 in the Gateway Athletic Conference North Division home game.The loss dropped their record to 5-12-1 overall.James Boyd and Tyler Murphy had goals for Liberty.Warrenton has three more regular-season games remaining on the schedule. The Warriors host St. Charles on Oct. 12 and Winfield on Oct. 13. Both games will start at 6 p.m.Warrenton 3, Elsberry 0: Three different players scored in the Warriors’ road win last Thursday.Goalie Matt Dildine stopped all four shots to preserve the shutout. Scoring for Warrenton were Nick Forrest, Isaac Frederick and Taylor Lutz, while assists were made by Tyler Busken and Lutz.Warrenton 2, St. Clair 0: Angel Cortes and Dillen Mayfield each scored in last Wednesday’s non-conference matchup.Both of the Warriors’ goals were scored in the second period.
