By Patrick MacCoonRecord Sports EditorThe Warrenton Senior Legion baseball team locked up a Zone I Tournament berth with a 15-1 road victory over Pacific on Monday night.“It’s a big accomplishment for this program to lock up a spot in the Zone Tournament,” Post 122 Head Coach Scott Butler said. “I expect us to win the district tournament and compete at the state level. This program is going through change and winning is a part of that change.”Taylor Duvel picked up his second win of the summer as he threw three shutout innings in relief. He and starter James Dotson combined for 11 strikeouts.Ben Stephens, Brandon Moeller and Chris Garrett each had three RBIs while Dotson and Hunter Russell drove in two for Warrenton (13-3).Pacific held a 1-0 lead through the first four innings.Post 122 tied the score in the fifth off a two-out RBI single from Stephens.Stephens highlighted a six-run sixth with his first triple of the season to drive in his 17th and 18th RBIs.Airk Rader reached base safely all five times, with three hits and two walks. The win marked the fourth comeback win for Warrenton, which won zero games last season in which they trailed.“Last year we found a way to lose games,” Moeller said. “This year we find ways to win games. We play for each other and wanted to be the ones who brought this program back.”

Hunter Russell drove in a pair of runs to help the Warrenton Seniors defeat Pacific, 15-1, in the last game of the regular season.
