The Warrenton Post Office will host a passport fair from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 29.“Many families are now making plans for summer trips. If those plans involve travel abroad, this is the perfect opportunity to get that necessary passport,” said Postmaster Bill Faerber.Each applicant must apply in person.Applicants must provide an application for passport form DS-11. The form can be completed ahead of time by downloading it from www.usps.com/passport.Forms also will be available at the passport fair.Applicants, including infants, must present a proof of U.S. citizenship, a previous U.S. passport or certified birth certificate issued by a city, county or state, a consular report of birth abroad, a certification of birth a naturalization certificate or a certificate of citizenship. A picture ID is required.The postmaster recommends that people apply for their passport at least two months before they plan to travel.Go online at http://travel.state.gov/passport or www.usps.com/passport for more information. Both websites offer information about the costs and how to apply for a passport book and a passport card.U.S. citizens also may obtain passport information by phone by calling the national passport information center at 1-877-487-2778.Passport
